CAN'T USE FORDPASS APP AFTER 8" SCREEN UPGRADE.

So i know that when you upgrade to 8" screen from the 4" and use the apim module from the new set up, you can no longer use fordpass app due to serial numbers not matching or something along those lines. I tried using my apim but it would only turn on small 4" section in top corner of the screen, so i had to use one that came with new screen. I've read you can go to dealership and they can make it so you can use the app, they match up numbers or something is that really true i mean I was told 1h labor to do it but don't want to take it in only to find out it'll cost me small fortune. I mean I'd love to be able to use the app again like when car was new, loved you could see if car moved etc i read you can use forscan to do this as well but it seemed pretty in depth compared to changing few codes to have different boot screens, turn off dtrls, activate Bambi mode etc which I've done on many cars I've jailbreak my sync 3 as well so I can create my own wallpaper but the matching apim module with my car i was bit nervous just wanted to see if anyone has attempted this yet.
