I regretted lowering my Scirocco. Was so hard, passengers didn't enjoy it either.

Comes down to the quality and general day and day driving quality. Still haven't lowered my stang because of past experiences.

Similar concerns here. I have found a set of springs that give 0.8" at the front and 0.5" at the rear so this is my compromise.

Meanwhile, back at the thread........
I was thinking the same about lowering. Maybe Pedders are the answer; adjustable so you can just drop a half inch and see how it goes.

BMR performance springs you need, a nice drop and the spring rate is only 5% harsher than stock, essentially more or less stock spring rates.

Most other springs are 20-30% harsher on the market, so the BMR performance springs are a great choice if you just want the lowered appearance without making the ride much harsher.

At OP.
I found that when I lowered my vert, the car felt a lot more planted on the road. The feel of "floating" is still there on bumpy country roads but much less. I do not have to hang onto the steering wheel for dear life anymore. Also, steering feel of the front wheels improved dramatically. I can honestly say that the ride does not feel harsher in any way.

I dropped an inch all round and also went from 40 hight on the tires to 35. My main concern was my number plate. I got the EU sto'n'show and the number plate is lower than the front splitter. We have a lot of speed bumps in the estate where i live and so far, no scrapes. I do take it slow over the bumps though and at an angle if there are not any cars coming the opposite way.

Go for it!

Mine is lower as low can be - fitted K&W variant 3 so adjustable height, damping and rebound.

I have never scraped and it rides better than stock PP.

No complaints and worth every penny. would buy again without hesitation

Not just your age. My insurance company charged me extra for springs too and I am old with one speeding offence on licence.
Really
spoke to my insurance today, they were fine and will add it onto the insurance key notes.
thanks for the advice folks, are the Steeda ones the best to get?

So, you have decided to go with lowering, you wont regret it.

Now you have asked a question that in all honesty, probably does not have a 'right' answer. Its down to personal choice. You prob wont go wrong with any of the main brands. Just go with something tried and tested by forum members and not something obscure.

Glad about your insurance, I will shop around at renewal.

ah No :confused::confused::frusty:

Still not sure, I remember the panic I felt when I heard a clank as went over one of these humps a wee bit to fast, but in a road with 20 of them, its easy to get a bit frustrated. So do I want to take the risk and maybe do some damage, for 1 inch, i mean does 1 inch make that much difference :)

I prefer the feel of linear springs over progressive if that helps think the eibach ones from ford for ÂŁ150? I seem to remember ish are a fairly good punt if its springs only.

Okay guys, I'm getting more and more keen to lower the car as the days go on.
The issue however, is the driveway!
I have a terrible video which may be no use, but do you guys think I'd be able to get it up the driveway if I lowered it by an inch?

It's a bit hard to tell :D
One thing to remember is that the Mustang stock has a fair bit of ground clearance. Dropping it by an inch makes a big difference to the looks by getting rid of the arch gap but still doesn't make it particularly low. My BMW E92 M Sport is lower.
I have a moderate ramp up into my garage and the car has no issues forwards or reverse, however leaving my parents over a flat pavement with dropped kerb can ground out the bottom of the Sto-n-Sho. All about angles I guess...
