If i should get the car lowered. When i had the Underseal done last year, Mike showed me the Steeda performance springs.

http://www.steeda.co.uk/steeda-s550-mustang-sport-springs-progressive-gt-ecoboost-c2x21085937

Suppose with fitting around £500 notes
But one thing that worries me, these dam road humps, the other day I went over a bit fast and heard a clank, thought I might have knocked off the exhaust
:eyebulge: but all ok
But if she was lowered, would I not be in more danger of doing damage with these humps

thanks

I had the same worry, and kerbing my front chin spoiler on a kerb when parking... stevec assured me all was fine... managed to get some springs and then insurance wouldn't let me have them lol!

Of course the risk increases, but just take your time and be more mindful when parking upto high curbs and tackling speed bumps.

If the speed bump looks particular angry always take it slow and at an angle.

My car is pretty damn low, I do not have issues, at worse the front splitter scrapes a tad on the bottom and remember I have a lower splitter.

Just spoken to Classicline they are fine with it, they are the best car insurance i have ever had. Really are brilliant in all aspects, its not a performance mod, its in-fact making the car more safe, as she handles better lowered, so don't know why your insurance said no?

The GT350 is lower than the GT, but I not sure how it compares to the Steeda springs. Europe has these really big speed humps in the road. If I don't slow down enough, I will hit my front spoiler. the Rear seems fine. I always reverse into curbed parking spots and never hit anything in the rear. I do scrape in huge angle changes, mainly where my street meets the main road.

We could all say go on, go for it, it will be fine and then the day after you fit the springs you hit a pot hole and take out a wheel. You will never know if the wheel would have been fine with the original springs.

All I do know is that it is a great mod and I have done 15k plus since I had mine done and have never regretted it. I spend most my time driving on pot holed roads in the country.

Personally, I think the look and feel of lowered springs are worth the extra risk.

Not just your age. My insurance company charged me extra for springs too and I am old with one speeding offence on licence.

So which one best describes you?;) I feel a Poll coming on:D
According to everyone who see's me "A rich kid with daddys credit card". I wish then i could dropped £31k on modding the car (or just paid a lil extra and forked out for the Insurance for the GT!).

But in all honesty, neither, just someone who wants to perfect his dream car, and make it Unique to myself :).
