Hello all,

I am in the process of buying tires. I have decided between the below:
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ or Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Has anyone driven both and can comment? Disregard where i live, do not worry about snow or cold temps. I do not drive in those conditions. The only reason i am considering A/S 3+, is because they last longer. I am trying to figure out how they perform compared to summer tire counterpart. I do not track the car, it is stock with just an exhaust. Daily Driver for the most part.

Will i lose 0-60 time? Steering response be the same? Will i lose 1/4 mile time? 100mph + handling be the same?

Thanks for all input in advance.

I have Michelin's immediately preceding Pilot A/S on my wife's Subie, the A/S+. It's quite good for an all-season, but not in the same category as the PSS.

I do track one of my sets of PSS, and after 4000+ street miles and 10 track days they're only about 40% worn. In pure street driving, assuming proper inflation and good alignment, 30,000 miles should easily be possible. Anybody getting under 15,000 miles is either doing something terribly wrong, driving around on bad alignment, or not admitting to doing track days.

They're even OK at temperatures down into the 30°s F, though it does get easier to spin them with the throttle at least until you've been able to warm them up a little by driving.

Wet weather - they're one of the "go-to" rain tires for the track. The video is at speeds up to 110+ on a day that 2" of rain fell in the vicinity of New Jersey Motorsports Park, so they'll handle anything you'd ever see on the street. I've since swapped the street tires for the Mustang and the "3-season" tires for the Subie over to PSS.
