I'll see when I get up there tomorrow to talk to the dealer -- hopefully I can get a little bit of a haircut, because this car is FULLY loaded, with an MSRP of $44,780.00. Has a few options I didn't want (security package, 3.55 gears), along with one I didn't see the need for (backup sensors) and one I thought was too expensive to be worth it (adaptive cruise control). But it's got everything else I wanted, and I'd much rather have a car in mid-November than in... March, I'm guessing it would have been.

I called my dealer to cancel the order and the first salesman I talked to was like "ok, sure," then I got a call about ten minutes later from his supervisor. I explained to the guy that with the failure to get scheduled yesterday, coupled with the fact that build dates are filled out towards the Christmas break now and the material hold on 50th Anniversary packages, I was thinking I wouldn't be getting my car until March, and that was just too late for me. He said he'd try to call his regional supervisor and get back to me; I told him I was driving upstate tomorrow morning to meet with a dealer and he could get back to me before then if he wanted.

Mine was MSRP $45,190 and I'm paying $42,300 with rebates on top of that, so you should be able to shave off quite a bit.

I did the same thing today. I canceled my Ruby Red and bought a Comp Orange. Same exact equipment only the different color. I actually got a $400 better deal and got to use my $750!! You should be fine.

As i said earlier, posting these updates are fine, but only if the info is explained so that lay people who don't work for Ford interpret the info correctly. As you can see from the title of this thread, the OP didn't understand the info and cancelled his order! We don't need misunderstandings causing chaos and hard feelings.
