JB will work because the surface is so irregular and lends itself to 'lock'ing. Problem is what kind of force, especially twisting/bending force is applied to to the mounting ear. If it rattles it may fatigue the bond. Sudden loss of boost isn't a big deal since EB operates much of the time with no boost depending how you drive it.
JB will cost you a pittance. Try it, if it holds, great. Otherwise graduate to welding. Otherwise just buy a new one. They are hardly expensive.
