My buddy and I, both 76, took our cars to an abandoned airfield to try to figure out the”Track apps” in our cars. We both did a lot of drag racing years ago, but this stuff is a whole new ball game to us.
His car is a 19 GT A10 with 3:55 gears with a MT street radial. Mine is a 15 manual PP1 with Pirelli Pzeroes.
We were playing around trying to record our 60’ times, and finally figured it out (old minds).
His recorded a 2.2 second 60’ and mine recorded a 1.7 second 60’ shown in the pic. We were a little disappointed with his time and find mine hard to believe although it did seem to leave good. His 19 A10 would obviously be much faster.
Any thoughts on what’s going on? Also, has anyone compared their car track app to an actual Christmas tree?
Thanks.

Well your 1.7 60ft on your Pirelli P-zero on an abandoned airstrip matched my 3000 rpm launch with MT 28x11.5x17 ET STREET R Bias plies @ the race track. Looks like I shoulda went with the Pirelli hockey pucks.

Would my car spinning some fool the app into thinking I went 60’ before the car actually travelled that far. I realize the Pirellis are pretty bad.

Dunno, cause I have zero idea how those apps calculate whatever. But it's safe to say you didn't do a 1.7 60. Line it up with your buddy who did the 2.2, or try it at a track.

I have found my track app to be spot on with the track. I have a 2016. My best 60’ has in crappy street tires has been 1.9.

I did a run this morning since it was cooler outside and got a 2.2 60’and 1/8th mile of 8.5@90 mph.I need a good tire to launch. I either light them up or go too easy on street tires.

Your 330’ time looks more like a 2.2-2.4 60’ foot time.
