Good morning folks...

I have finally decided on the wheels that I am on going to purchase for the car. These are Axe Wheels EX30. (This is unless @Paul@PK Auto Designs gives me word on the new VFF 107's by Vorsteiner being offered in our bolt pattern and pricing is reasonable. Any word yet my friend? :D)They are offered in a 20x10 et25 and et42. I know that the 42's will work on all 4 corners, but I was curious if I could squeeze the 25's in there. Here are the additional pieces of the puzzle...

1. I will be installing an airlift 3p system

2. I don't like the look of excessive negative camber. (I don't want your eye to really notice it).

3. I don't like the look of stretched tires. I currently have the stock 20" foundry's which are 20x9 on a 265/35 stock tire and like that look where the tire sticks out somewhat past the rim.

4. I will be purchasing the Anderson Composites AT-style front fenders. (They are similar to the GT350 one's they offer but with a horizontal split in the middle). These fenders are advertised as being 0.4" wider than the stock fenders. And does this even help since a portion of the wheel well is still determined by the front bumper?

5. When wheels are tucked, I like the look of the wheels being pushed out as far as possible, without rubbing the fenders obviously.

6. If it matters, I do not track or autocross the car. It is a nice day car for fun, spirited driving.

If I can do the et25's in the front and not in the back, will that look odd if what has a more concave look than the other? (I know this is done the opposite direction).

With all of this being said, do I have to do et42's and if so will I need to do a spacer to push out the wheels a little or is et25 a possibility?

Nice well I have a meeting with them in 2 hrs here at sema so imma ask and public ally inform you.

10 et 25 is easily done I mean I've done it upfront before I was actually the first guy to do that upfront but for the back it's very aggressive so for instance a 11 et 50 which is flush this new wheel is 10 mm more aggressive then that 11

So o say run a staggered offset and 30 profile tires front and rear. 275/30/20& 305/30/20

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm gonna guess that you are using a phone right now, hence some of the jibberish, lol...:D

If I read you write you are saying that a 11" wide rim with an offset of 50 is flush in the rear, but my wheel would be 10mm more aggressive on poke than the 11? Could you please correct my ignorance as I am trying to understand that if 1" equals 25.4mm wouldn't that make a 10" wide wheel with an offset of 25 have almost exactly the same poke?

Also, are you suggesting the 305 tire in the rear to just have more poke/fill on the front of the wheel? I'm not sure whether I am a fan aesthetically of the fatter tire in the rear, although I know that is popular.

Looking forward to the news on the wheel. Also, can you find out if it is silver/polished or just silver. Thanks my friend!

Yes sorry this autocorrect is hell. Alright so when you grow a wheel it grows on the inside the offset pushes the wheel face out or in.

Now the 107 will come in a mustang figment I just received confirmation today they should be in within a month and a half.

A 305 would fit better in the rear with a offset that low so that you can adjust the camber and not rub and tear anything.

I've got MMDs 20x10 with a 45 offset with 20mm spacers so basically a 25 offset. It sits pretty flush and I run 275/35 Nittos

Ya a 275 is the proper sizing for that setup

Ok, I apologize in advance because I'm still not 100% sure if I understand what your telling me.

In your previous response when you say "yes, sorry.." are you saying yes to my question regarding a 11" wheel with a an et50 would be the same as a 10" wheel with et25 offset?

If the above question is true, are you referring to running a 305 on a 20x10 et25, or are you meaning run that size on an et42? (currently referring to the ex30 as the wheel in the equation).

:doh:Ok, I finally understand it now:headbonk:

Googled it and now know how it works, lol. So basically if I go with the Axe Wheels EX30, I can either do 20x10 et42 all around or 20x20 et25 up front, et42 in the rear.

Do you think it would look weird with the staggered offset? Also, have you worked with anyone running the anderson composite fenders that are 0.4" wider? In your opinion, does that affect which offset I choose for the front? Or do i not take that into consideration because the wheel well in the front is still the same width (where the fender meets the bumper)?

I appreciate your time.

You can run the staggered it won't look weird at all. I have we did 11" fronts actually lol. It's not much of a difference and when you run the lower front offset it's pair well with those fenders.
