Yes - referring to specifically the factory 20x9 Foundrys.

If they would work, why doesn't Ford allow you to choose them as an option on a Performance Package car?
Because the PP has staggered tire combo that requires a different rear bar to work with the tire combo. A friend of mine is one of the suspension packaging engineers at Ford that does the Mustang and Fusion.

From what I've been told, as Timd said above, the stock 4 pistons and Brembos both are the same size (other than an inch longer), so they won't change the clearance. I guess I'll find out in a few weeks when I get the Brembos.

You're wording made it seems if you were just asking about 20" in general. But I think someone has already answered that they won't clear the brembos due to the offset.
Does that mean I am stuck with 19" or less on PP?

I have a 2015 gt pp and been running 20 in foundry wheels with no problems. I'm not sure we're some of these people get there info.

Ford puts the smaller wheels on the PP cars because they are better for performance (lighter weight). That's the same reason why they use staggered tire sizes on the PP.

I'll argue that they fudged up with the staggered tire sizes. I think that was an aesthetic choice by the "designers".

When you have a car with a front end weight bias, you don't put the wider tires on the rear. Going 4-square would have been a much better decision.

They work fine yes the reason is their aim is a more performance orientation hence the 19" wheels.

I just assumed that maybe they don't offer the 20" with PP because they won't perform as well with the stiffer suspension or some similar reason.
They don't perform as well. But feel free to be a slave to fashion.

It is all about looks.

My aftermarket 20" wheels and tire weigh less than the OE ones.

And my aftermarket 19's weigh less than your 20's.

The fastest R compounds available are not offered in 20" sizes. So a serious track car would be useless on 20's.

The prior generations of Mustang factory race cars all used 18" wheels and tires. As does the new GT4.
