I'm wondering if I can install lowering springs on a base V6, or if that's asking for trouble without doing any additional suspension work?

It seems like most people dropping their cars already have the PP setup.

I am looking first for a more aggressive look; secondly for better handling. (Of course the base doesn't have different selectable driving modes either...)

So, is it worth doing just the lowering springs, or should I put the whole Ford Racing Handling Pack on the car?

I would just do the springs first and see how you like it.

I don't see why your engine configuration or features would make a difference. The new spring rate will compensate for less travel. All you need to be concerned about is camber correction, and the caster shouldn't be significantly altered if you just drop an inch or so.

Hey Film,

With such a new car, a moderate spring will pose no issue and you will be completely fine on the stock shocks and struts! Upgrading is always a good thing but you have nothing to worry about with just installing the springs!

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Would you still recommend taking the car in for an alignment or do you not have to do that with the new cars?

Yes you will need an alignment after installing springs.
