The following is just my opinion and offers another perspective.
I originally had a 20x10 with 275/35/20 in the front but swapped it out for a 20x9 with 255/35/20 and glad I did.
I just wasn't comfortable with how close it was to the fender. Even with running negative camber. Which wears the tires even faster.
Look at the couple of pictures posted above. If that wheel is not perfectly straight when you air it out. The fender is going to take a hit. I was always paranoid when I would air out the car waiting to hear that crunch sound. Luckily, it never happened.
With the 20x9 and 255/35/20 I have wiggle room if that wheel is not perfectly straight and that fear is no longer there and I am running no negative camber.
I assume you are new to air lift and don't have the kit yet. I have the airlift 3H/3P kit and I think the V2 would be the same way. When you press one of the preset buttons regardless on which direction the car is going, up or down. What happens is the buttons on the controller will flash until the car reaches whatever height it is set at. When the buttons are flashing. The controller will not accept any other commands.
Why is this important? Because if you have one of your buttons preset to air out the car and it is coming down and hits the fender you cannot panic stop it. It will continue until the buttons stop flashing.
I love the way the 20x10 setup looks but I had to change it for peace of mind.
