Specifically I'm looking at the Airaid Cold air intake for my 2016 GT and My brother had a different intake on a 2006 mustang but it made the oil dirty and the intake dirty. Does the Airaid with the box have a filter? I'm going to clean the filter and not neglect it like he did but I'm just wondering if these intakes make the oil dirty and if I should stick with the stock filter or get the Airaid

It's going to get dirty it's a filter. I recommend steeda over airaid any day though. Mostly because of the redundant logos AIRAID uses

airaid is a non tune intake, if you want a non tune intake, we'd recommend the roush, which can be a tune or non tune intake

if your doing a tune, the roush or jlt are both great options

Honest question here....why do you show no love for the Steeda intake? I have always seen you recommend Roush or JLT. I have a Steeda now and eventually when I quit being a bitch :D I'm gonna hit you up for an N Guage and Lund tune. Just wondering if Lund has issues with Steeda intakes.....

My guess would be that it's because they don't sell that intake. While beefcake is absolutely here to help forum members he is also here as a vendor to sell the products they offer.

steeda makes nice products and do a great job. we have brands we are particular to that we sell.

lund has no problem tuning the steeda intake either.

i'm not a big fan of the way they specifically targeted jlt in a couple of their promotions. but that is what its is, their way of marketing.

if you like the steeda, buy it. we'll get it tuned for ya :)

Already have it. Was just wondering if Lund didn't like tuning them. Honestly I didn't know you don't sell them. I figured every vendor did. I am not taking a shot at you btw, from what I see here you're one of the best vendors. I'll be looking for the Nguage on your 12 day sale soon

If you're in the market for a CAI, we have a tune required version and a no tune required version. We've seen gains from both options :)

Here to help with any questions!

after owning steeda and seeing roush, i'd still pick the steeda just on build quality and less plastic overall. Both have an insert for no tune. Personally I would not give jlt any of my money after seeing the owner show his ass and would only buy a jlt on a resale but that's me.

you gotta cut jay a little slack, he is very passionate about his company as some of us are.

also, in his ads, he has never directly attacked or specifically went after one companies product

until

the 2nd ad directly mentioning / picturing his product was used.

i can understand him being upset about it
