CAI options on 2020 pp1

I have one on my car. To clear the warranty thing up. Ford Performance gives you a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on the kit/calibration. It does not void the factory Ford warranty as long as the kit is installed by a dealer or ase mechanic even though most could install it themselves with their eyes closed.

It will give you some extra torque/hp and will give you better throttle response. You will have to use 91/93 gas if you don't already.
Imo it isnt worth the price they charge. Sure you see a little extra power, but its not something that will make your jaw drop. Its a calibration to make the car more like it should have been stock.
Would I have spent the price on it again? No. Is it a safer thing to do vs a tune and voiding the warranty? Yes.

Correct the 3/36 in question is from FP not factory if related to FP parts or tune. But say the a/c needs replacement, factory warranty still takes care of that since not related to FP parts or tune, just like if you custom tuned for e85 and a/c went out factory warranty takes care of it.

The problem I'm running into is that local ford dealers won't install any non-Ford parts. So the FP intake would be fine, but any other CAI/tune is a no-go...and they said that it runs the risk of voiding the warranty on the installed or modified parts. The main one I would be concerned about is the ECM with the tune. You'd be on the hook for any issues that they find are caused by ECM.

Doing more advanced modifications like a supercharger would invite other warranty issues. The Roush is the only one they would install/warranty.

I believe other than the Ford performance intake you would need a silicone adapter. Also the tune is calibrated for the Ford intake so using the JLT would throw off the maf sensor readings

The only reason not to do that would be warranty.

It's a better route than the Ford installed option IMO.

OEM intake and tune for e85 if available in your area. Way better bang for your buck and keeps iats down with smoother maf curve. Obviously not an option if e isn't readily available where you are.

The big problem with that idea is finding the damn fuel. It's not like E85 is found at the corner gas station. Even if that were the case. I bet my next paycheck, the next one to be found is not going to be along a country road drive.

OP take a look at the Roush CAI & tune.
