I would steer clear of superior in Placentia unless you want it tuned for the strip. They listen to you explain what you want then tune it how they want. Had to re-tune to have street drivability. I know two others had same thing happen to them.
Too bad they’re very close to me.

There is/was a guy named Greg Monroe at Racers Edge Tuning in Downey who always did great work, but these days he seems to keep a low profile. He tuned a 2003 Cobra with KB for me that put down 600 rwhp on 91, another pullied 03 Cobra with a stock Eaton, an LSX454 Vette that was 620-ish rwhp all motor, and a 2011 GT Stock to the air filter car that put down 390-400 on 91. Give him a call.

Unfortunately, gone. Ken Jones worked there and now runs his shop in Florida. Ever hear kf Palm Beach Dyno? . Most tuners are moving out of state due to CARB enforcement. Good grief.

Where in CA are you located?
Nor Cal has AED and Paramount Performance(uses PBD for tuning, but runs it on the dyno)
I had my car tuned on the dyno at AED.
Stock 421/398, E85 461/433.

, AED sill not tune blown 18 and up on 91 pump. Paramount is outta business in Ca as of the end of this month. Moving to Texas where there are no California smog law crazies. Ca tuning is about to be a thing of the past.

That's too bad - Greg is a good dude and always did a great job. At least nowadays remote tuning can be done accurately with data logging. But for big mods maybe not so easy.

Found a new place. Papinis Garage in Temecula. Run by 2 brothers. They have a dyno and one of the brothers does the dyno tuning. He said not nGuage or tuner necessary as he tunes directly from his laptop to car. He is not opposed to going through a handheld tuner and also said he would work with Lund, PBD or AED if there tune is the base.

I did not have them do a tune on my car as that is already done. But I recently went in and had them do an oil/filter, BG SyncroII and rear-end oil change. Very nice guys and clean shop. They are mustang specialists but will work on Camaros and Corvettes as well.

I've had Greg tune my cars since my 2003 KB Cobra. He has always done great work. I don't know, but I think Greg keeps a low profile and gets all the business he needs.
