Anybody coming from or considering going to a new style corvette z51? I honestly never realized you could get a barely used one for about the price of a brand new fully loaded s550. I have to admit I'm a real sucker for the new style of the vettes. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experiences, still contemplating going to test drive the used one I found.

I love them, and they are an awesome platform, but no 0% interest and they dont seat 2+2, I've been a lifelong GM guy, but these coyotes just respond amazing to FI and the DOHC VVT really loves it, even more than an LS/LT unless you completely build it for FI.
End of the day no 0% financing and I will have one or a c8, by the time I can afford to upgrade :)

I mean technically you can get a just used one for same price. I found a beautiful fully loaded z51 with 7000 miles for 43000. That's crazy I think

I paid $35k for my 2016 GT A6 400a package with leather, heated/cooled seats, nav/satelite radio, touch screen etc. Plus I got 0% for 6 years.

Granted I've surpassed the 43k when you factor in my mods, I'm confident I'd compare favorably with the z51 handling wise, and would spank it straight off

I couldn't get down with a c7 z51 even though I am working at a chevy store. Now this came in.

I sold my GT and bought a 2014 Z51. Don't regret it at all. It's a true sports car and a whole different animal than my Mustang.

If you don't mind me asking, did you trade you mustang towards the z51? If so what kind of deal did they make you, I'm sure the dealer would never give me the deal I want so I'm just going to swing for the fences and if no deal, just procharge the s550.

No I sold my Mustang to someone, trade in would have lost me about $6k. I did lowball them on the asking price and they took it. I probably still overpaid by about 1k but it had every option I wanted and I wasn't leaving without it.

I've thought about a 'vette a few times, but around here they tend not to let you test drive. I'm not going to buy without driving. I'm thinking this next summer I will spend some time looking around for an opportunity to test drive one so I can see what I'm missing. I tend to be an engine guy, and I think GM V8 engines are a little boring compared to the Ford Coyote and Voodoo, but I could see the light weight and better handling of the Corvette making up for the bland engine. The GS definitely sounds interesting to me.

Yeah, Corvettes were never a big lust item for me until the C7 came out. I gawk every time I see one.

The GS would really be the sweet spot, I think.

Yup...

If the A10 were to fit into the current C7 platform it would be insane.

C7 GS +A10=Everyone dies.
