Running up that many miles in 6 years means a lot of highway miles, so on average it was run at a steady speed and regularly saw temperatures high enough to boil off oil contaminants and keep other systems lubricated where they need to be / dry in the other places.

Ask for a maintenance list. If it saw regular 10k oil changes and (even better) a transmission fluid change or two, it will be in far better shape than a 6 years old car that only went for short drives and never got hot or one that was hammered on at every red light.

Should be, sure. But not all Mustang owners bought them to use them. Well yes to use them, but more to try and show off and be able to say "Yeah, it's a GT. 460HP."

My next door neighbor has only driven Mustang GTs for the last 30 or so years. Never taken one to redline or over 100MPH: "that's too scary man."

You don't have to tell me lol. It only came up when he saw mine and asked how high I've taken it to.

I'm just pointing out that there is a large portion of "enthusiast car" owners that will never use them for what they were built for; as we see at least.

If you're worried about it soend the money for a good inspection, including a cylinder leak down test. Its no guarantee but it will cut down the risk.

I traded my 2012 coyote powered f150 with 275000 miles. Had a bit of blow by but still ran smooth. 14.2 1/4 mile times a month before I sold it. As long as the oil is changed the coyote is a long life engine.

I used my truck as a truck, many hard miles pulling trailers and sometimes 2000 pounds in the bed. Top soil aint light.

I'd rather buy a 20K mile a year car than a 5K. See post 3.

Long highway miles are easier on components than short runs.
