The Bullitt is a brilliant GT and highway cruiser. I put over 30,000 miles on mine in 9 months. Fantastic car.

What does that mean in terms of resale value? Not a lot.

Would I have bought a Mach 1 instead? I doubt it. I'd love the Tremec, but I wouldn't want the PP2 aggressiveness on long highway slogs.

Some folks say manual cars will fetch higher prices in the future, but I honestly think it'll be the opposite. How many young punks know how to drive a manual? Ha ha. My daughters don't, and neither any of their friends combined, and they're now 30 and 27. So Bullitts being all manuals, I don't personally think they'll be worth any more than a regular GT... and probably even less than autos. We'll see :). By the way, there are less S550 Bullitts than GT350s; go figure.
I think that’s exactly why a manual will fetch a higher price down the road, probably 7-10 years maybe a little later. Because they will be in short supply compared to autos and enthusiasts will want them. I plan on teaching my kids to drive my manual GT.

When I started dating my wife about 7 years ago, I had a 98 Escort 5spd. I told her I need her to drive a stick shift, cause I'm mental that way. Since then she's had a manual Rav4 and now she borrows the Bullitt ever so often, which is awesome.

It's such a fun skill to have, obviously it'll be a lost art eventually, but not on my watch! :)
