Cream Puff, until 2 hours ago I was thinking the exact same thing you are now. Have you called Ford Service? Coincidence that the day after I called them that it goes into transit? just saying..

I don't know where you are in Canada, but from everything I've read on here in the past couple months, that seems optimistic. Look at mine, it just got 2 weeks added to it.

I did give them a call, the guy I talked too said it is still showing awaiting shipment and the ETA should be correct, but to expect a week after that before its available for pickup at the dealer as they will have to do the pre delivery inspection. I doubt very highly it will take the dealer that long as they want their money asap, but thats all the info he could give me.

With any luck that will light a fire under someone at ford and it'll ship out tomorrow

PDI better not take a week! Correct me if I'm wrong, but its just a light test on all the cars functions to make sure everything it working as it should. That sounds like a 2-3 hour job MAX.

That's what the guy from FordService told me as well. Keep us updated as your process continues, were all in this together!

Mine just got pushed back 2 weeks. I'm not real happy about it, but at least now I have an update.

My Cotus says...DELIVERED.

I don't believe it because my dealer isn't on the phone with me yet. But that means either way it's damn close!

Call them and ask if it's there. They could have just got a bunch in and are taking their sweet time. Can't hurt.

Ha, ha. Right on que, the day after I called fords customer service my car moved from awaiting shipment to in transit.

They changed the date back to 3/10 for the end of the awaiting shipment, so I presume the car has been on its way for a couple weeks and they just suck at updating it.

The downside is they pushed back my EDD 10 days.. to the 13th :rant::rant::rant::rant:

The Sportage was/is a good vehicle, and an amazing choice for winter with AWD and winter tires, but alas, SUV suspension/handling, only 260hp and automatic transmission aren't quite as fun as a RWD 435hp 6 speed beast.
