GUYS GUYS GUYS! Its here its here omg someone pinch me!

Its at the dealership, going to probably get it on Saturday! I'm so happy.

Some quick issues I noticed was the trunk was slightly higher than fenders and rear window is misaligned. I don't know if I wanna get them to fix that right now, I'll deal with it later I just want it lol!
Woo hoo! Congrats, CherubAbaddon!

Congrats!

Meanwhile, I shall continue to wait impatiently..... :tsk:
It’s almost there, Strokerswild. Have your dealer contact the trucking company and see if they can scoop it up for you a little early.

I doubt they will go out of their way, they certainly haven't for me yet in any way.

Today I'm at Day Zero on COTUS, on Tuesday (3/31) the dealer told me that 'their info' said 4/4. I was really hoping to see it before the weekend starts.

(Although, in all honesty, I was hoping to see it over two weeks ago.)

3+ weeks awaiting shipment. Edd 4/5. So I call Ford. They say that there is nothing they can do now, but if not delivered by 4/5 I should call back the day after and they'll be able to do something. No idea what this means and they provided no details. We will see...

My EDD has passed, COTUS no longer shows a delivery date but remains 'in transit'.

Annoyed? You bet. Especially after my EDD has bounced around more times than I've kept track of -- maybe five now? A little ridiculous.

I contacted my salesman last night to see what the hell is up. Apparently the transport company is sitting on my car, waiting for a full load to head south. We're talking a two hour trip here. Tops. I asked my salesman to prod them a little, I'll hopefully find out later this morning if that has any effect.

Of all the vehicles I've bought new, this Mustang is the fifth that I've ordered from a dealer. By far the longest wait and the most nebulous in terms of knowing where I stand. All I have to say is this car better be perfect when it finally shows up.....

"Stokerswild": welcome to my club. I bet my convertible was on the same railway car as yours. My car was built on 02/10...one of the 4,000 on hold. My EDD went to zero also. Supposedly the car was dropped off in Minneapolis and is still waiting to be tranported to St Cloud. Dealer has not been able to find out when the truck will head up here. I also warned my dealer that if I find anything beyond minor problems I will walk away from the deal. He agreed...cars built a month after mine are already sitting on display in their showroom

I'll bet you're right, they probably traveled together.

They are dropped at Dayton's Bluff transfer station in St. Paul, and apparently are still there in the holding lot. I know for a fact that mine has been sitting there since last weekend.

I'm still laughing that my order had a priority of 10. Meaningless in my opinion.

I ordered the convertible on 30 Dec with a Priority 10. Build occurred on 02/10. Then Flat Rock decided they needed two months to fix a single "firewall?" problem. Without a Priority 10...I suspect my car would have showed up along with the first 2016s!

Update from my salesman: "Car not here yet and unable to get it here sooner. Just need to let it take its course and hopefully it shows yet today or tomorrow."

Thanks for going the extra mile, buddy. :p

The torture may finally be over. Got a call from my salesman right before they closed for the day saying my car showed up.

To make a long story short, I will be there with bells on when they open tomorrow. Apparently the car will be ready as will the paperwork.

I just might be smiling big by about 10:00 AM if all goes well. At last..... :headbang:

"Strokerswild": Don't be so enthusiastic about getting your new car that you disregard any flaws that may there. Make sure that they fix before you pay! You have nearly no leverage once you have paid the dealer.

Called ford since my COTUS status has now officially gone into no mans land. No more EDD since that date has come and gone. According to Ford, now that this transaction has "expired" they have opened up a case with the regional Mgr. In my area. I should hear from him/her in 24 hrs.

Funs times. This friggin stinks, Ford!

I had opened up a case with my regional manager and let me tell you, they dont do anything, well at least for me. I just had to sit and wait, annoyed by the poor status updates.

Did the rest of you guys get your cars???

I finally got mine on Saturday, the 4th, after getting a call late in the afternoon of the third that it had been dropped off.

This car is worlds better than any of the other Mustangs I've owned. Wow, kudos to Ford on the S550.

However, mine isn't perfect....

Panel alignment is acceptable and about what I expected (not stellar, mind you), and the paint is almost flawless. But I have a small spot on the top rear of my passenger rear quarter where the "ducktail" kicks up that I can't believe was missed in QC. Obvious grind marks under the paint, a couple of which are deep enough even to be felt. I missed this when I looked the car over at the dealer, but found it shortly after I got it in my shop; my lighting reveals all sins when it comes to bodywork and paint. I'm not keen on tearing into factory paint on a new car, so I might just live with it. A little disappointing on a new car (let alone one that cost $40K), I wouldn't even care if it wasn't in such a blatantly visible location.

Next up, there are spots apparently within the laminate of my windshield all over, right in the driver's field of view. I thought it might have been water spots or detail spray from the dealer detailing, but as it turns out it can't be removed with glass cleaner from either side, nor can it be felt. Again, not sure how this got through QC since it can be seen from within or outside the car, it can be a little distracting.

Lastly, my front splitter was scuffed/dinged up slightly on the driver's side, no doubt in shipping. I've asked the dealer to supply me with a new one, which I want to install myself; I also mentioned the above things about the horrendous bodywork and spotty glass.

I haven't heard anything definitive back from the dealer on any of this yet....
