It's waiting on a truck to pick it up and deliver it, unintelligible. Getting close!
It is? Jeff indicated that it had left the rail yard; is it still sitting there?

went to my dealer yesterday for the final appraisal and to get financing straightened out. COTUS had bumped my delivery back to 4/5 but the dealer called and got it moved up to Saturday. Before the appraisal I went to Carmax and got an appraisal from them. Almost $3K more than the dealer had gotten to on my preliminary appraisal! I was able to get the dealer to come up to this after the 2 hr smoke and mirrors session  Someday I hope these games die off. My appraisal at Carmax was a 20 minute joyride. The dealer was also full on tons of bologna about financing, apparently they don't realize while they do the smoke and mirrors you can look up their "facts" and call their bluff. Really a waste of time.

It did give me a chance to check out lots of mustangs they had onsite. Probably 6 convertibles and 10 hardtops. A few had minor alignment issues. Really hard to notice. One had a big ding on the door probably from transit. There was only one that was noticeable and it was just the clips not holding. I pushed it right back in with my thumb but the clip was loose. Very easy fix in the future. I saw a few minor cases of paint runs as well between panels but again really hard to notice.

Checked COTUS this AM and my car was delivered! The coffee almost came out my nose. The dealer is not open today for Good Friday, but I went and drove their receiving lot and found it. No alignment issues I could see and the car was unlocked so I even checked out the interior. Only saw one very very minor clear coat run at the bottom of a rear quarter panel. Can't wait until getting it tomorrow.

No; it's waiting for a truck to pick it up and bring it to your dealership. :) Shouldn't be long now! I recommend staying in contact with your dealership over the weekend, as they'll have the most up-to-date info.

Any update on mine?

Congrats; she's a beaut! Good thing the coffee stayed down - that probably would have hurt. Can't wait to see some more pics!

Hey guys,

If you're looking for a status update, shoot me a PM with your VIN, or order number/dealer code, and I'll gladly take a look. :ford:

Dealer called, car's here! :D Going down to inspect it & draw up the paperwork today, then it'll probably be a day or two before I can take delivery (have to do the lease return on my BMW).

Bad news :( inspected the car this morning and the front bumper cover is warped under the passenger headlight. I have to meet with the body shop on Monday and they will see what they can do. Also this car was one of the ones that gets pulled for a road test. They put 116 miles on it!!! Not really thrilled about that.

So my Mustang just arrived at the dealer today, but I got a call from the sales manager (who I am friends with) that the front fender and driver's door are rubbing. It was bad enough to rub some paint off and cause a small dent. He's getting the door realigned now. He said I can pick the car up now and bring it back later for them to correct the paint, or wait until they fix it. It's totally up to me.

So it comes down to this,
I really would love to pick up the car now and enjoy it for a few days. Would it be a mistake to pick it up now and bring it back to have the dent and paint fixed? (He's also giving me a GT rental)
Or should I wait even longer and let them fix paint and dent first before picking it up? Toughest part is I've been waiting on a my Mustang since December. I reordered in February.
-Grrrr. This is a tough decision!

Okay, so just got back from discussing the bumper issue with the dealer. They agreed to take the bumper off of the other Mustang and put it on my car. I think that's the best option given it's factory paint and I know the bumper is in good shape.

I am very pleased with the panel alignment on this particular car. Other than the bumper issue, a paint chip on the passenger door and a fender ding the car is in perfect shape.

Some crappy pics below:

I'm here for you, unintelligible! Please PM your phone number and full name. I'll enlist any available assistance on my end as well. Are you taking the Pony in today?

So after putting 50 miles on it so far I have to say it was so worth the wait to order the car I wanted. It's so much improved from the 2012 I traded in. The rid is awesome. The interior is so well planned out. It's an engineering wonder. I took the wife out to lunch and got a few thumbs up and one guy yelling "hell yeh!" The best is how strong it is. Put it in sport plus and get on it a bit and it snaps your neck! Really fun car.
