Congrats!! That's got to be exciting. I have 8 days yet to go. Make sure to fill us in on how the panels and everything else turn out.

What are u guys so worried about ? Panel alignment etc ?

For me yes, panel alignment and any damage that may have happen as a result of shipping. But mostly panel alignment. I have been to many of the dealers throughout my area and have seen in person what has been described here on the forums to varying degree's.

Well the good news is the car arrived yesterday, a day ahead of COTUS said. So to those waiting and checking its kind of a joke. Sadly thoughI might not be getting the car.

About a month ago I was bought out of my bodyshop business by the majority shareholder and no longer have a full time job (I ran the shop and had wanted out but wasn't expecting this to happen for 6 months). I do have structured payments for the next 6 months as part of the buyout and I will be buying another business in the month or so but since I currently don't have a job or work related income the dealer said it might be a problem. I can however make the payments as my structured income is almost the same as what I was making salary wise.

I had been approved back in Feb when I ordered the car so I thought we were good to go then he (dealer) tells me yesterday they need a new credit app and will verify everything again..... oh well, guess we will see what happens. He did ask if I wanted to come to the dealership and see it. Really..... just dangle the candy in front of the child then tell him he maybe cannot have it. Guess I will know later today. 2 months of waiting, checking and anticipation and then it might not happen, UGH !

Simultaneously jealous and annoyed that some of you guys from build week 3/16 have your cars, and mine from week 3/2 is still 'in transit' somewhere. WTF. :frusty:

I found out that my car is actually only about an hour away from here as of this morning. It's off the train on a truck. Got to think I won't be waiting another 5 days... going to drop by the dealer tonight to see if they have anything more specific.

FordService here on the forums. My dealer has never provided any updates.

I went down there though... my car wasn't there but the manager did say that if it really is on a truck then it should be here tomorrow. Now I have to scramble to de-mod my 328i so I can turn it in to the dealer before picking up the Stang :doh:

Something else to note. I surveyed the lot and was on the lookout for panel gaps and window alignment. I found one that had the window a bit off and... meh. It didn't really bother me. Even the cars with panel gaps slightly off I thought were okay - after all, it's a Ford, not a BMW. So unless my car comes in with absolutely egregious panel gaps or body damage, I will be taking delivery.
