Build Week 11/9/2015

I just watched two simply AMAZING videos showing the Flat Rock plant. Words don't describe it adequately. Watch it yourself using the following links. BTW, Flat Rock makes ALL the Mustangs for the U.S. as well as 110 more countries! The factory produced 70 cars an hour (they make Mustangs and Fusion on the same line) and 680 cars a day. And your car will be one of them! Wrap your mind around that! Enjoy the tour. I would definitely make plans to visit there one day.

I ordered my car on 10/23 and I have a 11/9/2015 Blend date. I was told yesterday that my car has been shipped and should arrive in Rochester, NY between the 20th-24th. I live in Virginia so it'll be a little trek to go get it and bring it home. 2016 Ingot Silver GT Premium 6 speed with PP, red stitched Recaros and other goodies. Already have a special set of wheels coming from Japan (Advan GT)

My car order was accepted on Oct. 28 (Wed). I just received my VIN on last Thursday. Your car was rapidly produced in about 3 weeks and you state you expect delivery this month on 20th ~ 24th. That is only about 1 month from order to delivery. That is lightning fast! Hope the paint dries! LOL

My car was ordered exactly 1 week later than yours, but it will first be built the second week of December (5 weeks from order to build) and is hopefully be delivered around the latter part of December (2 months from order to delivery). Remarkable difference of order time and production time with only 1 week difference of ordering date.
Such is life in the big city. I was told it would be about 8 weeks to delivery.

My build date was 11/10, and I don't think mine has been released either. What does that mean? Is it competed, but not inspected? Or it failed inspection and needs something before it's approved to be shipped? Or something else entirely?

Yeah same here 11/11 finished but no word on shipping. Come on ford it's already been 11 weeks. :frusty:

Just came across this thread. I called FP last week and confirmed mine was built on the 12th.. was told that the expected delivery date was between the 17th-23rd but was also told that doesn't sound realistic at all (which it doesn't to me either) VIN 1FA6P8JZ8G5521360

I don't have a f'n car!! I'm winging it via motorcycle till my car shows up. Kind of screwed myself by selling my car so quickly. But now, when my car is supposed to arrive, I will not have any close friends or any family in town to give me a lift to the dealer. I'll have to take a cab or something..

With a firm voice, tell the dealer general manager that you need a lift to the dealership to pick up AND PAY FOR your new car. He will be glad to pick you up.

Yours was released, MustangMatt. It’ll be put out to await shipment soon. As to what exactly happens between produced and released; only the plant knows.

Thanks ....but really built 11/11 and not released yet and then wait for a shipping co. It's just a $60K mustang might as well be a base V/6 as far as shipping is concerned. That's why BMW, Porsche and corvette people won't come over to ford. Not sure why I'm here either.
Today is oct 21 still no release for shipping. Just ship the damn thing allready.

I am sure if Chevrolet would charge less for the corvette if they built it alongside the Malibu or Impala, rather than having its very own plant and transportation/distribution infrastructure.

The GT350 is an amazing car, but it's also an extreme value for what it is. If the mustang and GT350 had their own plant like the corvette, it would be even more expensive.
