Really wish I could just sign for a car at my dealer and pick it up at another and cancel the order...

How long does FordService typically take to get back to you with a reply to your VIN about your mustangs location?

In my experience about 3 business days. If you call the 800 number in FordService's signature and give them your info (VIN or order number and dealer code) you will get the same information that Deysha (FordService) will give you here.

The discounts will apply to all new 2014, 2015 and 2016 Fords, except for some high-end Mustang models, the F-150 Raptor and...
They are referring to the GT350, GT500, and 50th Anniv.

Well, I don't know what to do guys. The car that I found out of town has those panel issues. I know that it would drive me nut. I spoke with the dealership and the manager was kind of an ass at first. I told him thank for trying to align the panels but that it looks worse. he said that "My guys did the best they know how to do...." He also said that he had never heard of any issues with panel alignment from the factory. He went so far as to tell me that "everything is under warranty...just buy it and have it fixed locally".

The other option is just wait for my order to come in. My Dealer here in town called me last night and said that Ford contacted him late yesterday as said that Ford is releasing the held cars to be inspected and repaired at the dealerships. That is very good news but he didn't have an ETA. I will call around today to see if I can get more information.

I think I'm just going to wait. What do you guys think?

I'd wait man. I mean seriously at this point it's going to be absolute worst case another month. I'm thinking one to two more weeks. After waiting as long as we have, it's worth it to keep waiting and be happy with the options/colors we wanted in the first place instead of trying to settle.

FordService Deysha can you confirm the cars are being released to dealers for inspection?

Dealer texted me today and said "According to Ford, a fix/delivery release will be by the week of November 30th." He's trying to dig up some more info.

My dealer sent me the bulletin yesterday (it is dated 10/27/15) - here's an excerpt:

SERVICE ACTION
DO NOT DEMONSTRATE OR DELIVER any of the affected vehicles involved in this compliance recall. A complete Dealer Bulletin will be provided to dealers by the week of November 30, 2015, when it is anticipated that parts ordering information and repair instructions will be available to support
this compliance recall.

I wonder if this means we are looking at delivery of our vehicles weeks after that point e.g. mid to late December.... yikes!
