I could be way off base here, but I'm hoping as far as the build schedule goes. Since the LE cars are some of the first to be built, and they are PP cars. Maybe, with any luck, they will build the PP cars first, or at least near the beginning of production.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they would most likely mix it up with the priority being LE's, then EB4's and V6's as those two are the volume sellers.

Message from my dealer

I ordered my 2015 LE on May 20th. My dealer keeps a close eye on it - because I offered them the option of keeping it on their showroom floor for 1 month - along side my 1966 Mustang GT Convertible!!

Anyways, my dealer sent me the following message today:

"Still no updates on the mustang other than in our system it now says: "Unscheduled- Material Hold". We will wait and see what happens. This usually means that ford is waiting on some parts. I will keep you posted. Have a great week!"

The scheduling process is weekly and takes into account parts that are constrained in their supply. Once we start seeing some scheduled dates and VINs, I think we will be starting to see the first of what's hot and what's not :)

I'd love to be talking to the production schedulers at this moment.

"Unscheduled- Material Hold". This usually means that ford is waiting on some parts.
Usually. However, in the case of a tightly allocated vehicle (i.e. Shelby GT500 or LE 50th Mustang), what it really means is that Ford holds the order until the regional offices decide which of their dealers get one of these cars each week. This keeps the cars from scheduling automatically by a computer program before they're supposed to.

According to earlier posts, production should start at 8/11/2014.

Just got a text from my dealer. I have my vin# and the build date 8/18. She said it usually takes two weeks but since it's a new car line it could be longer. Kinda helps and kinda doesn't nevertheless it's exciting news! :D

Is it showing in the online tracking system?

My dealer told me I have a 8/11 build date, but I haven't see that published anywhere...

It is currently tracking but does not show the build date. My dealer basically gave me the 8/18 date. Ive seen other members with 8/11 and 8/18 build dates. Also a Ford service rep said a vin# is only created when a build date is scheduled.
