Several members have commented about receiving incorrect parts. Does the assembly line have a check list to confirm what has been installed, or does Ford simply assume that whatever the computer-robot delivery system inside Flat Rock is putting in their hands are the correct parts? I often receive a checklist with an order, showing that all items were correctly included.

Every car that goes down the line has a build sheet attached to it.

Do I have to ask the dealership for the build sheet or is it put into the glove box, etc.?

I don't believe the build sheet leaves the plant with the car, and I would doubt the dealer could get it. That said, it certainly won't hurt to ask them, and they might be able to work something out.

It is a rare occasion that the build sheet leaves the factory with the car. If it does, it was by accident. Unfortunately, the dealer will have no control over getting you the build sheet nor does it have control over production.

You will be fine if you have the DORA and your window sticker. If both match up exactly and you have incorrect parts installed, you have a leg to stand on with the dealership to make sure the correct parts are installed afterwards. To be honest, it doesn't happen as often as you think.
