Car was unshakable in the slush and snow covered roads today. I could accelerate pretty much normally no matter the situation. They're not bad at all in the dry either. Sure, a little squishier when pushed, but very composed. Very quiet and comfortable to boot.

I put my car away last night because I'm a wimp. But I can vouch for the Blizzaks I put on my wifes q5. We got blasted with snow. I feel everyone should have snow tires, they are usually cheaper than an insurance claim!

I have blizzard on to. Drove to work yesterday and drove a little in the afternoon. Great tires and the grip is great. my mustang drives better than my 2 wheel drive truck that I had. Haha!

Bought Blizzak WS80's > No snow in Toronto for the past 3 weeks > Watching $1000 slowly wear off is painful...

I used to worry about that on my daily driver but look at it this way--you are wearing out the winter tires but you are not wearing out your summer tires--if you keep the car for any amount of time you will be buying a second set of tires anyway. If we get the 40 some days of sub-zero temps like last year you will be glad you had winter tires.

Going to try Blizzak WS80's Normally I'm a Michelin man with the X-ice
Having a hard time deciding on what Rims to buy from Tirerack for my Magnetic Ecoboost I want to drop to a 18 size thinking gunmetal Enkei EKM3,YS5 or the Raijin
any feed back from the forum is appreciated open to other options too

Do they really wear that much so fast?
It goes up to like +10C here, not just cold dry roads. I mean it's not bad, but still not ideal for winter tires.

True. I mean I bought them for a reason, just kind of sucks that I put them on "too early". I had all seasons on on my 051A 18"s, so I just swapped the tire. I wasn't concerned with wearing my all seasons down.

I'm rocking the WS80s also. Haven't had much of a chance to test them out in the snow or slush yet. Only for about a 1/2 mile on Monday with maybe a 1/2" of snow lol

I'm running LM32s. They did well during the a 5" snow storm last month---just have to be mindful and ease into the throttle in deep slush. Haven't had much snow since then, but I don't regret putting on snow tires because the stock Pirellis that came with the GT PP have horrible grip below 60 degrees. The LM32s are way better for spirited driving during the cold months whether wet or dry.

Blizzaks are hands down the best winter tires out there.
For the money you're right. I'd say Nokians are top but more expensive and harder to find.
