did you give it full clutch travel...you can sometimes do a quick change without full pedal & it can catch the synchros out causing a "crunchy" change

I hadn’t quite lifted my foot off when I gave it some gas so that might have been it

You do need to consider the monumental amount of torque going through the box and clutch !

i think its the new manual box has both a dual mass fly wheel and aluminium cast shift forks, they're breaking forks like nobodies business in the states when they're put under load so be careful hammering on that new 18 fear box they're not very good.

Yep heard about the breaking shift forks but saw a video that they were replacing them or replacing gear boxes. Mine was not gate released for 5 weeks after it was built so hoping it got fixed. No recalls on mine yet

i think they're just waiting till they break then replacing the boxes on them so wouldn't worry too much but depends how long it takes a uk dealership to get a new box delivered it could be weeks without your car.
