I think the 4 pot Akebono's are great, nothing more needed for dedicated street only use.

Whether a driver can adjust with little difficulty isn't the same as noticing the difference.drive several vehicles at the house from mushy brakes to the GT PP brakes, no issues adjusting between the two
They are not akebonos.I think the 4 pot Akebono's are great, nothing more needed for dedicated street only use.
I'm going to guess that you managed to overheat them, if perhaps only slightly. My PP brakes are down to probably 50-60% pad life, and have seen some hard use (track events).
While touchy/grabby when new, they no longer feel 'grabby'. Its possible I've gotten used to them, but honestly I think the grabby initial bite has worn off. I've done multiple brake fluid flushes with no effect on initial bite characteristics, and there is brand new Ford fluid in the lines right now, so I don't think due to old fluid.
Anybody else think their pads have lost that initial bite?
Ferodo makes the OEM 6 Piston pads (Rumored to be DS2500). PFC makes the Rear Pads.I failed to bed-in the brakes on the new GT. Did an A/X TnT last Sunday and brake smell was pretty evident. Today on the commute (first time out since Sunday), brakes still have that initial grab so I'm not accustomed yet. Coming from a new edge Cobra and the 'ol 86 with StopTechs. Would really like to know the source and compound for the stock Brembo pads.
No doubt I likely did. So implied damage to the pad material or rotor? Fluid has been completely flushedI'm going to guess that you managed to overheat them, if perhaps only slightly.
