My hood is a early prototype. The underneath mimics the stock hood as far as frame work, it's not the hood height that's the issue in my case, it's that back brace running across. My hole is fairly small as you can't even notice it in the pics.
Check out post 110 on page 7, you can see it there. Watson is aware and addressing the issue, this is what I like to do, assist in getting you guys the final product. Many years I ran prototype stuff some of it was ugly in it's development stages but worked, then you guys get the polished product.

I had to put a little notch in my hood also, you may not need to go big as that one, I used clay over the back of the intake to get a reference point and made a little bigger due to the rubber engine mount movement, the passenger side rear needed a little more room since the engine torques up on that side.
