Thanks:thumbsup::thumbsup:......looks like this is going to be the option for me...

Any ideas on a decent supplier??
Hey Enoch, I ordered mine through Amazon.com. They had multiple suppliers so I picked the one with the best price. I know they offer a good deal at Jegs, but they have a long lead time for some reason. Of course you can also buy directly through Borla.

With you being in UK it might be best to stick with someone around there just in case you run into problems.

+1 more for Nemesis. They supplied my Magnaflow via their eBay shop and were excellent. Looking forward to you expanding your range Guy. There's a big market developing here :)

Good job my friend. I think you'll like the outcome. Give it a week or two to settle in before making the final judgement. I love the sound of mine so much that I'm putting the X-pipe in the resonator box and storing it for now. Stealth mode at low RPM's...but it wakes up when you get on it. Deep and mellow, with the heart of a hooligan, yet somewhat refined and still ominous...

Be sure to have a friend (car guy) do a drive-by at 3k RPM so you can fully appreciate it for yourself.

Ahhh exhausts, absolute minefield! I can't count how many YouTube videos I've watched but I just can't get what they actually sound like!

I was looking at just an axle back and going for touring, but I have no idea if this will be loud enough! Don't want too loud as will be daily driver...

Would the axle back alone be different enough from stock to be worthwhile?

Sorry to hijack with my own question!

I bought the Borla S Type Black Tips, sounds good, with no farting as "someone said" I guess it don't have the X Wing or the Y wing, were these people fans of Star Wars :headbonk:
ready to go on the car as soon as she passes the IVA

The FRPP/Borla axle back would be different enough from stock to make a difference for sure. It's a totally different tone. If you were to find that you wanted more volume, you could always add an H or X-pipe.

Before I moved to the GT350 cat backs, I did a resonator delete and added an MRT H-pipe. Sounded much better than stock, for a small outlay of cash, but got a little harsh toward the top end.

As you're looking, keep in mind, pretty much any system that does away with a center resonator has raspiness at higher revs.

As mentioned retaining the centre resonator and just going for an Axle-Back exhaust will provide a happy medium with a sportier sound not being too intrusive and have no drone.

The Borla S-Type is a great start and the Borla centre x-pipe section can be added further down the line to make a complete cat-back if you want more noise. We should be getting these into stock for Mid to End of June.

Magnaflow is also another one to consider with the Competition Axle-Back. These have a nice deep sound and are great price. Again a resonator X or H Pipe Delete could be added further down the line. We currently have one of these left in stock at the moment.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

Cheers folks...

Think it sounds like an axle back to start with then see where we go...

Last question though, borla s type, I assume that is the "sport" version as opposed to the "touring"? I was thinking the touring as by the sounds of it it's a bit of a deeper tone?!?
