Bonnet Float / Shimmy

We are on the continent and got it up to about 120-130mph and the bonnet lifts and moves about a fair bit, a la TVR of old. Anybody else experienced this?

Yup its a known "feature", the street racing loving yanks mention it all the time.

Yeah had that myself, nowhere near 120mph - noticed it more in very windy weather or when passing trucks on single carriageway. It's going to happen with a huge ally bonnet and a single agricultural catch at the front.

You can get bonnet fasteners (do the same as the old bonnet clips), if you fancy drilling into the bonnet of your £30K brand new car!
