Livernois Motorsports is proud to introduce another new product for the 2.3L Ecoboost Engine. This kit includes all the bolts necessary to upgrade the factory oil pump and drive bolts to stronger aftermarket 8740 bolts. They are a direct replacement and fit exactly in place of the factory bolts. This kit offers increased bolt strength to help keep your oil pump firmly in place under higher loads in higher power applications. It also replaces the factory bolt that holds the drive gear to the front of the oil pump. This is a critical bolt as it keeps the drive gear attached to the pump, a failure of this bolt would result in no oil pressure and engine failure.

This kit offers inexpensive insurance, and is an important upgrade for any modified 2.3L Ecoboost engine.

Ever thought about the oil pump nut itself coming loose? Old bmw thing. You should offer a whole kit that cotter key's the nut and offers stronger bolts for the mounting.

Also, are there any better pickup tubes? like a dual pickup tube for us road course guys?

The picture makes it a little hard to see since it only shows the pump with the upgraded bolts in place, but I think all the bolts you mention are already part of the kit. There are 4 long bolts that go through the pump body that mount it to the block, these bolts are upgraded with the kit. Then the pump drive gear itself has it's own bolt which is also upgraded and included in the kit.

We'll have to investigate further in regards to cotter/safety wire style stud and nut for the pump drive. Right now the kit includes the upgraded bolt over the factory bolt, but a cotter/safety wire style stud and nut may be an option down the road.

Currently there is only the one pickup tube available. Though with further development this may change depending on what we see from track usage.

Hmm, how long would it take to install and stuff, is it simply replace or do you have to tear things apart to get to install?

Never dealt with stuff like this, but thinking about picking that and the Thermostat up soon

I could be wrong but I think you would have to take the timing chain cover off as well as the timing chain.
If I ever get to the point of opening up my engine I will definitely be adding this but don't foresee myself opening it up just to install this unless I start hearing about others having frequent issues with it. I don't track my car though so it doesn't see too much abuse.

I personally think these are a solution looking for a problem. That being said, if you are already rebuilding your motor and you want to use these bolts it shouldn't hurt anything.
