My right rear quarter panel pops and creaks when the is a little bit of flex. Driving straight down the road it's a none issue up backing out of my driveway it's a constant issue. I have 900 miles on it. Anyone else?

My left quarter panel creaks sometimes on bumps or when the car is diagonal on a slope (my tall driveway, like you said). I didn't worry about it because I assumed it was because my car is a convertible and some flex/twist is to be expected especially on extremely uneven surfaces. I have 33k right now.

This sucks if this is normal, I've had more cars than I can count and the newer ones say 2008 and up did not do this. Guess I need to invest in body bracing

I think you're confusing body creaking with suspension creaking. Almost every vehicle I've owned creaks from suspension bushings, be they endlinks, sway bar bushings, or the like. Since the rear of the S550 is IRS, there are a LOT more bushings back there, and they tend to make noise when flexed.

Since the rear quarter is part of a unibody, rather than an individually hung component, there's literally nothing to move.

Well, in my case, if there was nothing to move or flex they would not bolt on an additional underbody brace that the coupe does not have.

My right rear did this after I installed sub frame braces. It lasted about a month and has since stopped.

Disagree. There's a difference between body flex and body movement. Body flex can be mitigated with additional bracing. Body movement implies that a body panel is shifting on its mounting hardware, like the hood or bumper moving because of loose or ill fitting bolts or brackets. Since the rear quarters are unibody panels, they can't move, only flex.

When you flex a muscle you move it. Flex is movement. Semantics.

I don't think mine is suspension, more like some bad spot weld broke free. And these cars have rubber bushings and they typically do not make the sound mine is making. Now if they were poly then I would consider it.
