Is anybody else with SP080s, on a performance pack car, having issues hitting the bump stops? The instructions from BMR didn't address how much to cut my particular bump stops, so I had to do a guesstimate. I kept hitting mine, so I cut them more, but still have the same issue. It sounds like the strut is going to blow through the strut tower if there are any significant changes in road conditions.
Any info on this @BMR?

I've tried two different lengths on the bump stops and I really don't think I can cut much more off. I like the stance more than Eibach's setup, but never had issues like this with the front struts.

Thanks!

I received a install sheet with the bump stop recommendations. If you didnt get one maybe check out their site.

They need to be cut as our instructions state.

The more you cut off, the worse the feel upon impact is.

These cars use the bump stops quite a bit. There is nothing wrong with it.

Noises from the bump stops working, I am not familiar with.

So basically, if you call Ford and order Bump Stops for the PP Mustang, you will get the version I show below.

OEM PP Stops (with sharpie lines) compared to Eibach Stops

FRPP Bump Stop Kit (OEM PP Stops, with rear cut approx 7/8")

This is what some people will find on the front of their PP cars. I have no idea why. I guess it's kinda like Ford putting the PP Rear Toe Links on the base models.

I have the bump stops in the bottom picture, but the instructions didn't address how much to cut off so I used the image above it to help give me an estimate. I ended up at the same length of the other stops that you recommend, but I was constantly hitting the stops bad. I know you mentioned it's normal, but any significant change in road conditions it sounds like the strut was going to blow through the tower. I never had an issue with my other spring setups, which is why I brought it up.

Unfortunately, I am not sure why you are having the noise issue.

I do not have people mention this to me, and we have not experienced it on any of our 5 cars.

2 of our cars have the same bump stops that you have.

If you had the Eibachs, those use the bumpstops almost constantly. So hitting the stops is not something new to your combo, I do not believe.

Is the issue primarily just the noise? Or is the ride affected negatively?

Have you considered the possibility of it being the damper making the noise?

The ride quality is absolutely perfect, the only issue is the noise. It's possible it could be the damper. Would trimming the stops slightly too much have an impact?

Do you know where I could pickup a set of Eibach front stops? I definitely need new ones now since I ended up trimming them slightly more (thinking I didn't cut them enough).

Thanks for the help by the way!

How close are you to Tampa?

I have a set of front Eibach stops you can have ;)

That's classic right there bro. Killer stance and black Forgestars.
Looks killer.
Thanks man. Seems as the Silver and Black is a love hate on this site.
