Hi all,

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

Has anyone else had any issues with the bluetooth on their 2015 Mustang? I have the 8" sync 2 which is standard on the UK car (I think).

Was fine for years. In the past couple of years had people complaining about feedback when either I ring them or they ring me. Hanging up and re-trying seems to fix it most of the time. But it happens a LOT. I did wonder if it was my phone so I waited until I got a new one and exactly the same.

In recent months also have a weird bluetooth glitch. Call connects and maybe 50% of the time we cant hear each other. I need to change the audio mode from bluetooth to handset and back to bluetooth on the synch (using Android auto) when on a call and this fixes it 100% of the time.

Honestly its a bit rubbish. Was considering a sync3 upgrade but its not exactly a quick swap.

thanks in advance.

Just to correct slightly. I thought I had a sync2 but it's been so many years since I checked. It's a sync3 running 19205. I just checked and no updates available OTA but I've googled and I think later builds are available on the ford website. May try this tomorrow. Seems like 19205 is ancient and 23219 is available. So much for auto updates over WiFi!

Has anyone seen similar or tried to upgrade post 19205?

Worked for me:

1. Disconnect from Android Auto and Reconnect via Bluetooth:
  • Disconnect your phone from Android Auto.
  • Connect your phone to SYNC 3 via Bluetooth.

2. Adjust SYNC 3 Settings:
Tap "Settings" on the SYNC screen, Select "Phone", Press "Set Phone Ringtone", Choose "Use Phone Ringtone", and Connect to Android Auto

Thanks for this.

These sorted feedback issues?

I think I'm going to take the plunge and try to go to sync 3.4 tomorrow. Will do some research first.

Not feedback for me. Just callers could not hear me.

Ah ok thanks. Yeah that issue is also annoying... But I also can't hear them. The quick change of Bluetooth settings within android auto calling fixes it temporarily

Fingers crossed on the upgrade being a better fix

Just to update. I just updated my sync3 to 3.0.23219 using the official updater from the Ford website and all issues have gone. I did consider 3.4 but the fact you cant go back put me off.

Edit - the issues have reappeared. Will consider trying 3.4 this weekend.
