I've seen this posted before but I've not found a solid answer. I have a 2016 GTSC that was my uncle's. He always complained about this but now that it's mine I'm trying to get it fixed up. Stereo/Nav/Sync Shaker system. Playing music it works great. When my phone is connected by bluetooth or with the USB, any time it's playing music, phone call, Nav from Waze or google maps, when I use Google, or Siri using my work Iphone the only thing that happens is popping sound form the speakers. While on the phone, they can hear me fine, I can only hear this popping sound. When I say pop, it's a steady pop, pop, pop etc.
Android Auto and Carplay both work except for playing sound from apps, phone calls, messages etc. It all just comes across as Pops. I can ask Google for directions, it pops and switches to waze. Pops when playing instructions for an example then goes back to music. When playing messages, music from the radio stops, the speakers pop and then goes back to music.
Here's what I followed and done.
-updated software to latest version
-Master Reset
-battery disconnected for an hour
-10amp fuse out
-tried with my android and iphone, same results.
Anyone have any ideas on where I go from here?
