Actually sounds like a joke but its not. Same reason why its nice to have a boost activated methanol injection system. And those things squirt far more water/methanol into the engine than you will ever see by getting the CAI a little wet lol.Plus, a little water is fine for the motor anyways. It steam cleans the combustion chamber and keeps your valves from sticking.
Just ordered this CAI. I love Steeda, their engineering is second to none. I had basically this same CAI but for my 2012 V6 and the 'velocity stack' is a solid chunk of cnc aluminum with a beautiful radius. I bet air enters smoother and easier than *insert sexual innuendo here*. which is the most important part of getting a good clean MAF signal.
I have also read they work closely with Ford Engineers to design these things.
I was also going to mention the fact that when moving forward no (or little) water is going into through the vent. Most touch less car washes Ive been in squirt water downward at an angle like if you were driving into water/rain.
Long story short I will not even give it a second thought once I get mine and install it.
