Ha ha! Cheaper to keep her... I know of no man who said they got a clean breakaway without giving more than half of everything to the ex. :eyebulge:
I've gotten out of more than one without paying a dime.

Plasti-dip is the easy, reversible method to blacking out the emblems.

I was going to buy the $150 "blackout package" in gloss black, but I just don't think $150 is worth it, Ive plasti-dipped many of things on my cars in the past, looks just fine especially on just emblems that your trying to hide anyways. Can of black plastidip and some glossifier is like $15. 1/15th the cost and don't have to risk breaking something or spending time to take it off.

I did the UPR black pony. Cheaper and no pins. It sticks on with 3M tape. Glad I cheaped out after reading this thread!

I ordered a black pony cover from eBay at the end of 2014 right when I ordered my GT. It was stupid cheap (like $12) and is holding up very well. It slips right over the stock pony and is secured using 3M VHB. No complaints here.

Right after install (notice that epic hood alignment near the latch):

Picture from 2 weeks ago (I know, it isn't very close but it's all I've got):
