A shorter tire causes you to accelerate faster. Just like shorter gears.

you're not going to slow down until you get into high enough speeds to need to go past your transmissions 1:1 gear
So you think I would decrease my 60’ - 330’ time with the 305/35/19 27.4” without sacrificing much if anything on the big end, currently I am running thru the traps averaging 117mph? At the end of the day, I am just looking for the best balance for the 3.15 gearing.

Only changing tire height :
taller tire if your traction limited. But it'll hurt your ET/MPH everywhere.
if you can get a shorter tire to hook, you'll be quicker/faster everywhere.

This will tell you if the tire is taller or shorter than the one you have now.

Thanks, that is where I got tire heights posted. Looks like I’m going to change all wheels to 19”s and go with the 305/35’s. In the rear.

The question was about tire height and width,
The taller the tire the better it will hook if the tire's are of equal width.

Most drag racers will use 15's in the rear.

A 26 inch tall 15 will hook better than a 26 inch 19. Assuming both hook should be a slight improvement in 60' with the 15 due to side wall wrap.

Personally I'd go with a 29" tall 15" tire and gear for best ET.

and knowing FORDS abortion 10R80... cook it.
