Hey. So I had to take some “evasive maneuvers” this weekend and ended up in the grass. This scratched up my front left PP black wheel.
It didn’t do a ton of damage, but enough to be noticeable.
Does anyone have experience fixing small scratches on a black PP wheel?

I’m thinking my options are:

1. Try to polish the wheel
2. Get some kind of touch up paint (no idea what color)
3. Get the wheel professionally refinished
4. Just buy a new wheel

anyone dealt with this?

I recently had a wheel damaged by a shop that was installing tires. They sent someone to my house and he fixed the scratches in my garage, good as new. The scratches were all the way through the paint, I can’t even tell which spoke it was now.

A picture of the damage would help.

Polish that.

Those wheels aren't painted, they're powder-coated. You should be able to buff those scratches out.

They catch on my nail, wouldn’t that mean it’s a scratch?

Based on the pics, the scratches look like they would catch your fingernail. In which case they would be too deep to buff. Your best bet is to fill them in with gloss black touch up paint. Try filling them in and wiping off the excess. Like they show here: https://drcolorchip.com/videos/
