Hi I want to replace my stock tires with some that has more grip unfortunately with my rim being only 8,5" wide I do not have many options... I was looking into getting ET street s/s but they come in 285 or 305. How are the Nitto nto5 max? Or maybe there are some other tires that are good for drag racing ( Car soon will be running 18 manifold CAI and e85 )

Outside of drag tires, the RE71Rs are one of the grippiest you can buy for street use. They're more of an autocross tire but they are very sticky. Don't know how they do at the strip though. Better off with them than NT05.

Consider any of the following: Michelin PILOT SPORT 4, Hankook VENTUS V12 EVO2 K120, Nitto Invo or Continental CONTISPORTCONTACT 5.

Yokohama ad08r, Bridgestone Re71r, Michelin pilot sport cup 2. Those are the stickies. The BS is an autocross tire, Michelin is a road course tire and I think the yoko is a solid mixture of the two.

The OP was asking for drag racing tires that would fit on an 8.5" wheel. Road course tires are not what he's going to need.

That is not what he said. He said what are the gripiest tires or what are the drag racing tires. He didn't say he didn't want road course style tires.

And Hoosier R7's are by far the gripiest.
