So currently have a 22 mustang gt. Tuned on 93, CAI, h pipe, borla s type. Really wanting headers but it’s really pricey for a good set. Should I eat it and spend the money for the extra hp or switch from 3:15 to 3:55 gears. I’ve heard it’s night and day difference driving. Any opinions welcome.
Depends on what you trying to do with the car.

If you trying to do digs in the street, I would not worry about gears. If you are going to do 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile track work, the gears will help with a nice drag radial.

The headers will help in all things since your picking up more HP. If you turn the car up to 800-1000, you might prefer the 3.15’s because you will stay out of 7 gear (with 10sp auto) on a 1/4 mile run and on most roll races.

If you’re doing rolls, get the headers. A roll is more about power/weight. The more HP you have the better as traction is generally not your issue being Natural Aspirated. If you add a Supercharger later, you will be happy you already have the headers.

Couple that with a GT350 intake manifold, T/B upgrade, and E85 and you will have a lot of fun.

Headers are not cheap, it is not a Bang for the Buck. Plus, headers are not a fast install and shop will charge $500+.

Nitrous is your bang for a Buck. A 100 shot would do the trick.

3.73 are going to give you 18% more torque in 2nd gear but 2nd will be done at redline at 60mph. 3.55s are ~13% more torque in the same gear. Its like adding 75 horsepower, but you gotta shift sooner.
This right here. Yes, the rear end is bit of witchcraft to get set up well. But if your pony is a road car daily driver, they're still a great "bang for the buck" direction to consider,

I was always told to make your car stop and steer before making it fast. Build your suspension and brakes then just bite the bullet for a blower of choice. The gear won't matter after that. It would be good for those long pulls. Just one man's opinion. have fun doing the mods.
Steel braided brake lines afford quicker braking control of the car for under $200 blends well with more power
