Bent Wheel

I made a U-turn and heard a loud bang like i hit the worst pothole of my life. I brought the car in to get the wheels balanced since the car was shaking a bit at high speeds.

They told me that it looks like both passanger wheels are slightly bent but the tires are still holding air.

How concerned should i be here? I guess i will find out how the ride feels on my way home. These are forged TSW wheels so not sure how easy they would be to repair.

last time I bent a rim it had to be replaced, or that's what I did anyway, no mention of being repairable that I remember.

They are rotory forged wheels, not fully forged.

see how they drive, if its bad replacing them is a fast way of doing it.

I had a friend with TSW Nurburgrings on his S4. He bent two wheels on a large pothole here in Charlotte as well. This is not a knock on TSW as the pothole was formidable and he was running rubber band tires. He got them repaired and had no issues. With that said, that particular shop is closed but I have heard good things about Rimguard Xtreme. Here is the site in case you want a quote.

Appreciate that I'll check them out! If they can't be spared maybe I'll just go with 4 new types of wheels rather than replacing two. I dunno. I'll get the option of the repair place firsf I guess.
