Haha dont know PTWA. but if it's what I think your saying. The cylinder walls were scored but block was reusable.

But am I wrong to refer to plasma transferred wire arc lining as PTWA ?
I was trying to sound like I know more than I do .

Will @RPG/whipple should soon be tearing down the Voodoo long block I sent him after shop told me I had bent several rods .
I expect the cylinder walls or “PTWA” are also scored. Lol

He had quoted me $6k to rebuild the short block(including sleeves) with GT 350 specific Manley H beams and diamond pistons .

Not factored in yet cost to dissemble and reassemble the block (and any head work ) but sure hope I am not looking at your kind of bill.

I could use the Manley I beams there at L&M, which they say checked out,in the Voodoo rebuild to bring my cost down even more and have a stronger block .

Ok so this is a copy and paste from Brandon over at L&M. Will keep the updates coming.

I will take another look at your old block tomorrow. I believe it was only cylinder 7 that was scored up. I don't recall any other cylinders loosing the plasma coating. The rod bent first, the cylinder damage was caused over time by the bent rod. You can see the wear in the rod bearing for #7 showing evidence it has some run time on it after having the bend.

2019 gt Whipple 3.0l stage 2 with Whipple tuning. Cylinder 7 piston removed this morning. Rod bearings spanked too. Car has 1200 miles on it with 150 miles with kit installed
