belly pan alternative

Reason is simple, gt lip with pan and shipping to where i am is almost 400$. And that seems stupid. Option b is the steeda splitter for about the same price or more, aaaaaand more importantly i just dont like it.
But i did see one...and with all due respect to steeda it just seemed like a big piece of flat aluminum.

So the point of the post is, specially to anyone who actually has the splitter and can confirm..why cant i make my own?
A big ol sheet of 1/8 inch (and 1/4 inch same price) aluminum will set me back 40$. Id put down the stock non pp pan on top of it and draw the holes and shape and have it cut and smoothed. Paint it plack, bolt it up under the lip (like the steeda) and viola!!

Somwbody tell me why not

Totally with you. I don't care for the Steeda piece and just want to add the PP Lip.

Damn shame because the PP lip is pretty inexpensive.

Youre probably right, thats even better, i just checked and a big ol 5 feet x 2 feet sheet of 1/8 sheet of black abs is 30$!!! shouldnt make much difference in the process anywho, but cuttinh and smoothing should be waaaay easy, whatdoyathink? I saw you have the pp belly pan, care to chime in on my crazyness? Do you foresee any problems?

I'm in the same boat. I've purchased the PP lip, but need the PP belly pan. Do you know if the PP lip will actually attach to the front facia w/out the PP belly pan? In other words while I wait on the PP belly pan can I install the PP lip?

You can attach the PP lip without the belly pan, just won't mount at the factor locations. Just screw that bad boy in!

No they have plenty. Can't link from my phone but search for performance package front lower valance/splitter and you will see it.
