I guess it kinda depends on what you are used to. If you from the drag race, american muscle scene, then your are probably going for the beefy look.

if your from the subaru, honda, jdm, vip background, then you are probably going for the thinner stretch look.

There's one other background . . . if you were technically oriented and influenced by sports car racing and cars that emphasized cornering rather than drag racing.

I was putting 195 and even 185 wide tires on 7" wide wheels (on a Pinto) back in the very early 1970's, being influenced by SCCA's road racing and the original Trans-Am series. I went 'stretched' all on my own and before it had the 'stretched' tag, not because I'd seen, heard, or read about anybody else doing that for the street (people in subcompacts at that time rarely looked at wheels any wider than 5.5", occasionally 6").

Beefy. Super wide tires look incredible. I don't even lower cars because it might cost me a mm of rubber.

Slight stretch. On just about any car.

"Beefy" is a bit too bulged for me, too reminiscent of the time when you couldn't get wheels anywhere near as wide as you can today . . . and people would squeeze L60's and N50's down onto 7" wheels anyway. Ugh :barf:

Norm
Haha..... Norm, you are dating yourself :D To be honest though, I can remember mounting those big L60's and N50's for those same people!
