I can't believe there are still States with no mandatory seat belt use.
It's been mandatory for as long as i've been driving ( 34 years )in this Province and most of Canada i'm sure.

All US states have some form of seat-belt law. All states also have speed limits too, but laws can only do so much. Obviously, neither of these laws can save someone from reckless driving...

How can you not wear a seatbelt? I feel so uncomfortable without one. Also if you drive more than a few feet the radio mutes and it continues to beep until you buckle it up. Or at least my 2014 Raptor did.

I also remember Dale Earnhardt's wreck at Dayton and how innocent it looked... yet, we knew different soon after and this, the birth of the HANS device.

The HANS device was born in 1986, 15 years before Dale's death. In fact, Dale refused to wear one...in a bit of karmic irony.
