hellou,
I noticed battery drain problem on my stang 2015 GT. After one week (not using the car) battery has only 8,3V. I tried to check power take-off today (I lock the car and connect multimeter to the battery) and all the time (while car is off and locked) there is still 1.8A power drain :eyebulge:
Only modification is air lift performance suspension and rear tailights (to EU - amber turn signal).
Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong or how to check what is draining the battery?

I connect a battery tender to my battery when I am not going to be driving it for a few days and haven't had a problem.

I was away on a three week trip last October. Left the Gt locked and parked in garage all that time. When I got home the key fob would not unlock the car so I thought battery in key fob dead. Go get the extra new fob and same thing happens. Turns out my battery was fully drained in that time.
Embarrassed to say I wasn't aware of the hidden door lock behind handle and I needed to get to the battery. So I was able to take a very long skinny screwdriver and reach thru front grille and pop the hood latch. Well got the battery fully charged and eventually discovered that it was the enhanced security package that was left active while I was away. Over a long enough time period it will use all available voltage ..

Does your compressor cycle when the car is off at all?

Even when your car is off there are a number of items still pulling voltage, though a 2year old car the battery should still be strong enough to start the car after a week.

Like JohnK said get a battery tender, they are a must if you leave your car for a few days at a time.

So you're trying to tell turn off alarm when I lock the car? :D I doubt that alarm is taking almost 2A. I will try to check power take-off after I'll deactivate alarm.
With previous 2012 GT I've never had problem with battery drain even after one month (car was on parking lot all the time).

Since you have had a 2012 you should know how much more electronics are in your 15. That equates to much more parasitic draw on the battery when the car is switched to the off position. Even with your car in the off position nearly every electronic device will still pull. I highly doubt your alarm pulls 2amp, I might put money on it pulling 900ma though.

You never had a problem with your 2012? you also never had to take your key out of your pocket with your 2012. my point is, it is a different car with a different architecture, or layman's terms apples to oranges!

I made few tests with battery..

disconnected air suspension, alarm turned off, car locked:
- right away after locking the car there was 3.7A
- 10min after locking the car there was 1.8A
- 20min after locking the car there was 0.3A

disconnected air suspension, alarm turned on, car locked:
- right away after locking the car there was 3.8A
- 10min after locking the car there was 1.8A
- 20min after locking the car there was 0.6A

air suspension on, alarm on, car locked:
- right away after locking the car there was 3.8A
- 10min after locking the car there was 1.8A
- 20min after locking the car there was 0.6A

Now I don't understand why few days ago I had almost 2A power drain with car locked. Now it seems to be "only" 0.6A but it's still too much.

I understand this is new model, new technology, a lot of electronics but.. power drain in locked car can't be so high. If I will go on vacation and leave car in parking lot for 10days then battery will be dead? This is stupidity if it's right.

I never did the test you are currently doing. After the incident I had last year I just read somewhere that the ESP option was likely what drained my battery. I rarely drove the gt this winter so i would put a battery maintainer on it a few times a month.
