I plan on getting a base GT with Performance Pack, but refuse to drive more than a couple days with the body colored rear diffuser of the base model (what were they thinking!?).

I'm hoping it is easily removable from the rear fascia so I can spray it black with plasti-dip. Does anyone know or have an idea if possible yet?

No it's a One Piece Molded Bumper/Diffuser. You will have to replace the Entire Rear Bumper.

This is why I would only consider a base car in black

Wonder how risky it would be and how good the results would be to mask it off. I mean after all plasti-dip is supposed to be able to peel off so it should possibly work well. Just not sure on that large of an area.

Well if it's one piece then it doesn't really matter if you platidip it yourself or have a body shop paint it. They would mask it off as well.

I'm not sure how long the results would last, but if its done properly it will work and look nice.

As sad as it sounds I'd actually get the base GT if it weren't for the ugly stereo and the body color rear diffuser.

Yea, yea, yea, I know. Don't pay just for those things. Those are the deciding factors, I'll enjoy the leather, the switches, MyColor, better screen etc. Those are all nice, but I'm more concerned with the look.

Because of that I'll certainly be going premium.

Does the GT Premium come with the body colored rear diffuser?

So what gets the black diffuser in the back? The premiums or the performance packs?

I would assume the premiums.
