Thanks to some help from a friend, I was able to ditch the iPod/iTunes and move my extensive music collection over to Google Play Music
I love the fact that it instantly started working over my Bluetooth sync connection, and I now get my turn by turn directions from my phone when using Google Navigation through the car's audio.
However, I'm noticing a few differences:
When streaming on the iPod, the radio displayed the song and artist playing (which my phone does too), but it also displayed how long a track was, and how far into the track the song had been playing. This portion of the screen now shows "--/--" when streaming from my phone :(
The display also showed (on the iPod) how many songs were in the playlist, and which number the current track was in that playlist on the screen. Nada on the phone.
The radio has the current sync version (5.9?) and the phone is an HTC one M8 (AT&T) running Android Marshmallow (6.0.2).
Anyone know how to get this info back? Wait for Ford to fix it and hopefully give us a new version of Sync?
